The Ultimate River-Rush

The centrepiece of Camp Tons is a three-day river rafting journey on the Tons River. The remaining days offer a choice between mountain biking across exhilarating trails or backpacking through overnight wilderness. Biking requires prior cycling experience and a minimum height of five feet. Beyond the core activities, campers enjoy treks to natural pools, village visits, and classic camp traditions including Chhota Hazri and Helter Skelter.

Built for safety

Safety is carefully integrated into every aspect of the Tons experience. Camp Chiefs and instructors trained through NOLS, NIM, JIM, and HMI supervise all programs with a 1:6 adult-to-participant ratio, with at least one female instructor per ten female participants. Equipment meets international UIAA standards and is regularly audited. A resident doctor stays on campus, with an emergency vehicle on standby and the nearest hospital in Purola approximately 50 minutes away.

Stay By The Riverside

Participants stay in spacious tents in groups of four to five, typically selecting their own tent mates. Boys and girls are housed separately. The campus features built-up toilets, hot water, and multiple sheltered gathering spaces. The Bomb Shelter — a sunken pit serving as the main dining area is a beloved hub of interaction and community storytelling after full days on the river and trail.
